NRHA Announces 2017 Honorees

The voting has been completed and the honorees have been notified! Following the presentation of the Hall of Fame Committee’s recommended nominees, the NRHA Board of Directors and past Hall of Fame inductees voted to approve Carol Rose, Rosanne Sternberg and Smart Like Juice for induction into the NRHA Hall of Fame in 2017. Tim Katona will be the recipient of the Dale Wilkinson Lifetime Achievement Award for 2017.

Carol Rose, Gainesville, Texas is a renowned horsewoman with a well-rounded resume in the performance horse industry. A distinguished NRHA non pro competitor, Rose has made her mark through her much-heralded breeding program, promotion of the sport of Reining, support of the association’s youth and mentoring of many young trainers. Her program has produced NRHA Futurity and Derby Champions, Hall of Famers, an NRHA Four Million Dollar Sire and winners of NRHA’s major events. Continue reading “NRHA Announces 2017 Honorees”

July 16-17 weekend saw another Wild Rose Welsh & Open Pony Show alongside the Welsh & Half-Welsh Young Stock Futurity & Performance Stake on Friday, July 15 in Red Deer, Alberta. We welcomed three judges in total: Shirley Cane, Elizabeth Russell, and Molly Rinedollar.

The Mane Event Branches Out to New Locations

The Mane Event—premier hosts of the largest equine expo in Canada—branches out to new locations in Ontario and the US

Equestrians and horse lovers in both the US and Canada will benefit by the expansion of The Mane Event Expo.

Each spring The Mane Event hosts the largest equine expo in Canada at its location in Red Deer, Alberta. In the fall the expo is held again in Chilliwack, BC, and draws record crowds. In 2017, The Mane Event will grow in new locations that include London, Ontario May 12-14 at the Western Fair District and also May 26-28 at WestWorld in Scottsdale, Arizona.
